| Born in 1960 in Perth, Richard Hill, at an early age he was diagnosed with Muscular Spinal Atrophy* which, following several childhood years of using callipers for mobility, eventually led to him being confined to life in a wheelchair. Presentation Frame work Duration : 40 to 90 minutes + 20 minutes Q&A. Speaking to smaller groups Richard calls on personal experiences and observations to entertain and expose his audience to what it is like to be a person growing up with a disability and the challenges it presents often on a daily basis. All presentations : - end with a 15 to 20 minute Question time. - Use PowerPoint (if available). - Can be tailored to particular topics. Cost : Available after consultation on requirements. |

| * Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a genetic, motor neuron disease characterised by wasting of the skeletal muscles caused by progressive degeneration of the anterior horn cells. Spinal anterior horn cells are located in the spinal cord. SMA affects the voluntary muscles for activities such as crawling, walking, head and neck control and swallowing. | ||||||||||||||||
